Features
TrueClean™ – patented laser cleaning technology of the ionization source. The MALDI-8020 is equipped with wide aperture ion optics that minimize the risk of ion source contamination. In addition, the instrument features TrueClean™ automated laser cleaning of the ion optics elements – a rapid (<10 min) UV-based cleaning that can be used to clean the electrode in-situ without breaking the vacuum.
Targets. Compatible with FlexiMass™ targets. Disposable 48-position polymer targets with individual barcode FlexiMass™-DS eliminate the risk of cross-contamination. Reusable FlexiMass™-SR steel targets are a cost-effective and effective long-term solution.
Barcode scanner. The built-in barcode reader (patented) in the MALDI-8020 automatically scans the barcode when the sample is inserted. An LED on the front panel indicates when the barcode has been successfully read.
21 CFR Part 11 Compliance. The MALDI 8020 is powered by MALDI Solutions™ software, with a centralized, secure Microsoft SQL Server database. The system is managed by an administrator, and configurable user profiles provide control over database access and instrument operation. Audit trail, level of management required for regulatory laboratories, 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
