Nexera X2 (LC-30)

UHPLC chromatographs

The Nexera X2 series chromatographs are versatile systems consisting of separate blocks. These devices can be equipped with various devices for automated sample preparation, for analysis with column switching and using the gradient mode. They can operate in the mode of supercritical fluid chromatography, two-dimensional chromatography, analysis of a large number of samples using an automatic vial holder changer. On the basis of the Nexera X2 blocks, you can assemble a conventional analysis system or the so-called “green” HPLC system, which allows you to do without organic solvents.

Features

  • Maximum reliability. While retaining the 20-year proven parallel twin-plunger mechanism of the LC-30AD, Shimadzu engineers have used a new plunger material and seal design for the LC-30AD. This has enabled seal and plunger life at ultra-high mobile phase pressures (130 MPa) that has previously only been possible with conventional HPLC systems operating at pressures of 40 MPa or less. The dual micro-plunger pump provides precise solvent delivery and low injection volumes for excellent reproducibility and extremely low cross-contamination (<0.0015%).
  • Maximum performance. Thanks to a pressure range of up to 130 MPa, high-speed sample introduction, no cross-contamination, and high-pressure mixing of eluent components, the device provides maximum analysis speed.
  • Universality of separation conditions. In a chromatographic system operating at ultra-high mobile phase pressures, the finest sorbents (< 2 μm) can be used with increased column length. This ensures maximum peak separation of the components present in the sample.
