«ShimUkraine» LLC is the general distributor of Shimadzu analytical equipment in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. The company was founded in 2005 as the legal successor of Shimadzu International Scientific and Consulting Center for Analytical Equipment.

The exclusive zone of responsibility of the ShimUkraine company includes the territory of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova and, in addition, in accordance with the current authorization, the activity of ShimUkraine extends to Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

The main functions of the ShimUkraine company:

1. Providing advisory assistance to user-buyers and dealer-buyers (trading companies that have official authorization from the ShimUkraine company to sell Shimadzu analytical equipment) on the selection of the type and configuration of the device, which provides a solution to the user’s analytical task. The correct choice of configuration of an analytical instrument is the basis for its effective use after purchase.

2. Delivery to user buyers on DDP (delivery to the user’s laboratory after payment of VAT and customs procedures) or DDU (delivery to customs warehouse) conditions, as well as to dealer buyers on DDP terms of Shimadzu analytical equipment.

3. Execution of works on legal support for the use of measuring equipment on the territory of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine on metrology and metrological activity. The ShimUkraine company received the right to issue to users of Shimadzu analytical instruments, intended for use in the field of legally regulated metrology, a Declaration on the compliance of this measuring instrument with the technical regulations of Ukraine, and also the right to apply the appropriate marking.

4. Conducting on an exclusive basis commissioning and debugging works, operational training of personnel and warranty service of Shimadzu analytical instruments, as well as provision of technical support in the post-warranty period on a contractual basis.In order to obtain the right to perform the specified works, specialists of the ShymUkraine company periodically undergo mandatory training courses on service maintenance of each type of analytical equipment and receive appropriate certificates from the manufacturer.

5. Provision of scientific and advisory assistance to users of Shimadzu devices in mastering new methods of analysis. As a rule, analytical equipment is purchased to ensure the solution of new analytical problems in the customer’s laboratory. Since such tasks are very often non-traditional for this laboratory, there is a need to develop methodological conditions that ensure reliable analytical measurements.

6. Ensuring the promotion of new Shimadzu equipment on the Ukrainian market (exhibitions, seminars, conferences, publication of advertising materials). Participation in analytical equipment exhibitions is a priority means of familiarizing potential users of Shimadzu equipment with the technical capabilities and practical applications of new models of analytical instruments. Visitors to the exhibition are given the opportunity to analyze their samples on the exhibited devices.

7. Participation in events organized by the management of the Shimadzu Corporation and Shimadzu Europe GmbH. The management of the Shimadzu Corporation and the Shimadzu Europe GmbH company periodically holds meetings of experts to exchange experience in the use of Shimadzu analytical equipment to solve the tasks of quantitative determination and identification of components in accordance with international regulatory documents. The information obtained forms the basis of methodological recommendations for users of Shimadzu devices.
