MultiNA is a system used for DNA/RNA sample size analysis with convenient analytical capability. It provides analysis costs at the same level as agarose gel electrophoresis and can perform fully automated analysis of up to 108 samples. Using optimized reagent sets (four types for DNA analysis and one type for RNA analysis), the system achieves high resolution and high sensitivity. This can greatly improve the workflow for mutation screening in genome editing and genotyping.
MCE™-202 MultiNA
Microchip Electrophoresis System for DNA/RNA Analysis

How it works
The MCE-202 MultiNA system uses microarray electrophoresis technology for DNA and RNA analysis. Unlike traditional agarose gel electrophoresis, MultiNA automates all steps, including sample loading, migration, separation, detection, and data analysis. With highly sensitive fluorescent dyes, the system ensures accurate and reproducible determination of nucleic acid size and concentration. The built-in software automatically corrects sample mobility using internal markers, which significantly increases the accuracy of the results.
Features
- Process automation: Analysis is performed in three simple steps – loading samples, pressing the «Start» button and obtaining results.
- Speed and productivity: The system is capable of processing up to 108 samples in one cycle, and the use of four microarrays simultaneously allows for a significant reduction in analysis time.
- High sensitivity: Fluorescent dyes provide many times higher sensitivity than ethidium bromide-based methods.
- Convenient data management: Results are displayed in the form of gel images, peak tables and electrophoresis, and can also be exported to CSV format.
- Automatic cleaning: After each analysis, the microarrays are cleaned with water, ensuring long-term use of the device.
- No need to prepare gels: Traditional methods require significant time spent on gel preparation and visualization, while MultiNA automates these processes.
Intelligent software
- Automatic data processing – sample size calibration, electrophoresis curve construction and concentration prediction.
- Comparative analysis function – allows you to view and compare results obtained at different times.
- Export in convenient formats – results can be saved as images (JPG, BMP, TIF) or numerical data (CSV).
- Intuitive interface – simple assay setup, color coding of reagents and intuitive graphs for quick data analysis.
- Integration with Shimadzu AutoFinder* – automatic detection of DNA of a specific size and simplified search for target bands.
